Anyone can do the normal party of cake and ice cream at the house. The only problem with this is that anyone can do it, and to most kids this means that it is boring. There are four simple key ingredients to throwing the perfect party, and by using these ideas you are going to be able to break out of that mold. You are going to be able to provide the party that everyone else's kids will be asking for.
- The place. Where is the party going to bet? This vital piece of information can make the party all by itself. Places like McDonald's and Chuck E. Cheese provide package deals for those who would like to have a party for their child at their establishment. The price range for these two places is from $60.00 to $150.00 for up to ten children. Other places, like theme and water parks, also provide birthday packages, but they run at a higher cost. The biggest attraction to having a party at such places is that they will take care of most, if not all, of the key ingredients. You can also have your party at places such as the local park or a movie theater, skating rink, or virtually anywhere that you can imagine. The biggest help on choosing this would be what your child's interests are as well as your budget.
- The food. In the event that you do not take advantage of having a party at a place like McDonald's, then you will want to either have the food catered or maybe do something like a potluck with all of your child's favorite foods being the featured menu. This would help defray your own costs as well as help bring everyone else invited a little more into the planning stage.
- The entertainment. Taking the children out to a film, the zoo, a park where they can play football or Frisbee, are all ideas that you could use for your child's party. Again this is another item that can be determined by what your child's interests are as well as those of your child's friends. You want to be sure that you choose something that is going to interest your son or daughter. For example, if your son likes to play soldier, maybe you might want to go do some laser tag or for older children paint balling.
- Invitations. You can buy invitations, of course, but you and your child may enjoy making them together so that you can build up anticipation for the party. If you use one of the package deals that were mentioned earlier, they often include invitations in the cost. In order to be able to accurately know what the final cost for the party, it is strongly recommended that you send out the invitations several weeks early. If you send out the invitations about three weeks early, that gives the guests time to make arrangements to attend, as well as you time to make your final touches.
