When I was a young girl I could hardly wait to turn sixteen. In my mind it was going to be this fabulous turning point from being a little girl to being an adult. A sweet sixteen party signifies the right of passage from childhood to adulthood. This is a day to be celebrated and remembered. My mother and I had a mother/daughter themed party where we planned make overs and pedicures at home. I invited all of my best friends and their Moms. The afternoon was spent by trying new hair styles; make up colors and polishing our nails. It was inexpensive but the memories made were priceless.
This party should reflect her personality. Incorporate her favorite colors, textures and smells. Themes can also add flair to the gathering. Below are some tips to aid in the planning:
