  • Start your own Halloween tradition. Perhaps your Halloween will incorporate brewing up some super creepy Halloween stew with skulls figures carved into mushrooms and homemade pasta in the shapes of witches and goblins. Use a tomato base to enhance the scary dinner theme. Cook your stew in advance, so you will not be pressed for time before trick or treaters start ringing your doorbells.
  • Work in advance. Ideally, start looking at fun costumes the year prior after Halloween is over. Great sales are available for costumes and home decor. Try purchasing a couple of items every year to increase your home's Halloween theme.
  • Get your family and friends involved. Have your spouse or significant other get into the spirit by having him or her put up decorations. Have a pre-Halloween party and have your family and friends take out decorations and adorn your home with the Halloween motif.
  • Should you prefer to spend your evening at your place of worship, Dress up with fun costumes that will embellish your beliefs. Plan fun activities for both children and adults can participate.
