Celebrating Independence Day

Summary: Red, blue, and white Flag Day. Celebrating Independence Day is an incredible day. Enjoy this day of freedom with ease and fun.

Enjoying a fun day outdoors with your family and friends is a great activity whether the day is a holiday or not. Through in Independence Day and your day can become even more pleasurable due to the creative activities you can design to make this holiday more special.

  • Bring out some plain white candles if you are indoors or LED candles for outdoor activities to keep them from blowing out and for additional safety precautions. Get some red and blue paints, mini flags, candleholders, and mini photos of your family members that you can stick to the candles. The candles can also serve as seating name holders or can be displayed around your room for a more personal touch. If you have children, bring them into the fun as helpers. They may surprise you with the photos you choose. The candles can also be provided to your family and friends as gifts to commemorate your activity.
  • Send fun emails or cards to celebrate the occasion to family and friends. Write a note on what Independence Day means to you. This may start a new tradition for you, your family, and friends.
  • Contact a local military base and connect with the Public Liaison Officer to find out how you can send a care package or cards to some service people out in Iraq or Afghanistan. Perhaps you would like to send emails and cards to the military men and women who are still out in war zones. Send them a personal note to let them know you are thinking of them. This note may make them know you appreciate what they do.
  • Create your own beverage to celebrate Independence Day. Add some red and blue type beverages and add some white straws with sparkly fringes to add the extra pizzazz to your drinks. Throw in some glow ice cubes to really spruce up your beverage appearance. As with any new product, read the instructions for safety precautions.
  • Importantly, think of safety especially if you have children and fireworks. Supervise your children and provide them with safety information on fireworks.
  • Create some fun red, white, and blue necklaces, belts, and bracelets with flexible glow sticks. Have these fun accessories done in advance or keep the kids busy making them during your Independence Day activity. It is a fun party favor to take home for both the children and adults.

Enjoy a wonderful bar-b-que day filled with food, beverages, and activities. Top the night with a beautiful trip to your favorite fireworks display area. Celebrate a terrific Independence Day with activities and relaxation time all combined in one day.
